Weekly gas prices climb again

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – If you are looking to start your week with a full tank of gas, you will notice higher prices at the pump.

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in the Lansing area currently sits a $2.62. That is up 13 cents from this time a week ago.

It’s the fourth such increase in the past five weeks. The AAA says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.62 on Sunday. That’s about $1.13 less than the average at the same time last year.

In Jackson prices are slightly higher averaging $2.66 a gallon.
