MSU celebrates International Museum Day

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Today is International Museum Day, a day to raise awareness about how important museums are in the development of society.

Locally Michigan State University is celebrating by highlighting an exhibit on China.

The exhibit will feature various photographs and video documentaries.

There are also plenty of local exhibits such as the Michigan Folksong Legacy that looks at Michigan’s music traditions during the time of the Great Depression.

This year’s theme for International Museum Day is Museums for a Sustainable Society.
