FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (WLNS) – A Fowlerville police officer is suspended today after reportedly getting into an off-duty, intoxicated fight at a strip bar.

According to our media partners at WHMI, the unidentified officer was suspended after the incident last Tuesday at Subi’s Place in Southgate. Fowlerville Police Chief Tom Couling tells WHMI that the officer, retired from the Ann Arbor force, also works at Highland Park as a police officer.

Chief Couling said the officer and his girlfriend got into a verbal altercation with a parking valet when they arrived at the club. Upon leaving the officer exchanged words again with the valet and a fight reportedly began.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the incident to determine if any charges will be filed.
