CATA bus catches on fire

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Firefighters came to the rescue Monday evening when a CATA bus caught on fire.

The fire was confined to one bus inside of CATA’s Street Ops Center building, located in the 4600 block of Tranter Street.

Officials say there is no major damage to the building and it only took one fire hose to put the fire out.

All CATA employees have been accounted for and made it out of the building safely. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.

Fire officials are still investigating and have not released the cause of the fire.
