One dies after two-car accident involving rollover

DEWITT TWP., MI (WLNS) – A 26-year-old DeWitt Township man is dead after being ejected from his car.

It happened around 7:32 a.m. Monday on US-127 and Stoll Road.

A witness told police one car was driving south bound on US-127 and another was traveling north. Police say the south bound car turned in front of the north bound car.

According to officials, the 26-year-old was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was ejected from his car.

Police say the man’s car then rolled over on top of him.

He was then taken to Sparrow Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

A passenger in the 26-year-old man’s car was also taken to Sparrow Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The 64-year-old driver of the other car, from DeWitt Township, was not injuries.

The accident is under investigation. Police do not believe alcohol and drugs played a factor in the crash.
