Aerial line checks begin across mid-Michigan

(WLNS) – Starting today, the International Transmission Company will start doing their aerial checks of transmission towers and power lines across mid-Michigan.

That means you could see low flying helicopters in the area. The ITC says the inspections will cover Ingham, Jackson, Livingston, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties.

Officials say this is a normal procedure so do not be alarmed if you see a helicopter near transmission lines.
