LANSING, MI (WLNS) – If you need to fill up your gas tank before heading off to work this morning, you will notice gas prices are holding steady and are quite a bit lower than last week.
According to gasbuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in the Lansing area sits at $2.49. That is down 17 cents from this time a week ago.
It’s the first such decline in four weeks. The Dearborn-based AAA auto club says the statewide average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was $2.52 on Sunday. That’s about $1.18 less than a year ago.
The club says the cheapest price was about $2.48 per gallon in the Flint Area, and the highest price was about $2.66 a gallon in the Traverse City area.
