MIS hosts first ever Speedway Stomp 5K

BROOKLYN, MI (WLNS) – It will not be cars flying around the track at Michigan International Speedway today but runners. Today is the first ever Speedway Stomp 5K.

The 3.1 mile run will go through portions of the MIS oval and the historic grounds of the speedway. It serves as a lead way into Michigan’s Beer and Wine Festival tomorrow.

The run begins at 7 this evening. Registration starts at 5.

You can still sign up on the MIS website. The cost is $50.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
