Lansing Police Investigate City’s 2nd Homicide

(WLNS) – Lansing Police are investigating what they say is the second homicide of the year in the city.

Investigators say it happened just after 11:00 a.m. on the city’s south side. Lansing Police spokesman Officer Robert Merritt confirmed that the death was the second homicide this year in the city. Officer Merritt said the victim is a 39-year-old man.

Officers were called to a house in the area of Fenton and Hunter Boulevard. There is no information on possible suspects or what led to the incident.

The city’s first homicide was recorded this past weekend in a shooting on Lansing’s northwest side.
