(WLNS) – A Roman Catholic priest in Michigan is urging his parishioners to arm themselves and get a Concealed Pistol License.
According to our media partners at MLive, Father Edward Fride of Christ the King Parish in Ann Arbor wrote a letter about recent crime in the area.
He wanted to create a CPL class at the church, but now the church has stated they are no longer offering CPL classes.
Ann Arbor is part of the Lansing Diocese. They responded, calling the class inappropriate to be held on church property.
They also say the bishop has never given permission for anyone to carry a concealed weapon in a church or school of the Diocese of Lansing.
