Students Take New Online M-Step Test

(WLNS) – Here’s some good news for schools and students taking tests.

State officials say that so far there have been no wide-spread failures or network outages since Michigan schools started new online standardized testing this week.

The new test, known as the M-Step replaces the pencil-and-paper Michigan Educational Assessment Program test that was used for decades.

Michigan Department of Education officials tells MLive that more than 2,000 schools in 800 school districts or charter schools gave the test in the first two days.
