MSP Issues Statewide Tornado Drill

(WLNS) – It is Severe Weather Awareness Week and today Michigan State Police want to make sure you and your family know exactly what to do if a tornado touched down.

They are asking everyone to take part in a statewide tornado drill.

You are encouraged to find the lowest place in your home, stay away from windows, doors and outside walls and get under something sturdy.

All the tornado sirens across the state will go off at 2 p.m.

You can always stay ahead of severe weather with the StormTracker 6 weather app for your smartphone or tablet. The app is available to download for Apple and for Android

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
