JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – A 16-year-old Jackson teenager is facing expulsion from all public schools in Michigan after officials say-he brought a loaded handgun to school on Monday.

According to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot, police were called to TA Wilson Academy after school officials got a call from the boy’s mother saying he may be carrying a firearm.

School officials met with the student when he arrived and Jackson police confiscated the handgun. They are seeking charges for possession of a firearm.
