UPDATE 8:48 a.m. – Police tell 6 News that the original shooting took place in East Lansing. This morning, as investigators unravel what happened, they tell 6 News that a female apparently suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her wounds are non-life threatening. According to police they are still trying to determine why she told police she was shot at the Lansing address.
LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Lansing police are looking into a possible shooting overnight on the city’s near northeast side.
According to police the victim says it happened in the area of Kalamazoo and Shepard streets shortly after midnight.
That person showed up to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Police do not have a description of a possible suspect or know how many people were involved.
