MORE: Tax scam information

According to the IRS they will not contact you by email, text or social media to ask for your personal or financial information. The organization will not call about any taxes you owe without sending a bill through the mail first. IRS officials also say they never require you to pay taxes in a certain way. For instance they will not ask you to specifically use a pre-paid debit card.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
