(WLNS) – A stone’s throw from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson and less than a mile from Lumen Cristi Catholic School is this building, 4200 Spring Arbor Road in Jackson, which is now under construction.
But people in the area are concerned about the nature of the business that could end up there.
“The question is what kind of establishment is it going to be, we are really not sure, we are just keeping our ear toward some of the meetings that are taking place in summit township and we will respond appropriately according to who we are and what we think is best for the community here in the immediate neighborhood,” said Rev. Michael Geml, Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Then there’s this website, the Club at 4200. Described as a private adult couples club, which says the club is being formed for one main reason, to provide like-minded couples a place where they can belong without judgment or prejudice.
And for couples 21 and over.
The club at 4200 website says the building is currently under construction in Jackson, but will be coming soon in spring 2015.
Little information is known about the business, but a man who claims he’s the project manager says there will be a 1,000 square foot dance floor and raised platforms.
He said it is not a strip club, not a gentleman’s club, but a private club.
When asked to explain further, he declined.
The building owners must now submit a conditional use permit to further explain their business to the township. That can be turned in as soon as April 20.
6 News reached out to the website manager and the building owner’s attorney, but all declined to talk about exactly what is happening at 4200 Spring Arbor Road.
