More Searches Planned For Man Missing Since December

OTISVILLE, Mich. (AP) – Another round of searches is planned for a 27-year-old man who disappeared in December after stepping outside of a bar in a small Michigan town.

Jeff Watson, team leader for Shiawassee County Search and Rescue, says his theory is that Ken Gruno is alive.

Plans call for searching around water and ponds. Watson says the team wants to rule out the possibility that Gruno went into the water.

With snow and ice melting, search conditions are improving.

Gruno had a credit card with him, but he left his coat behind when he went outside of Otisville Hotel Bar in Otisville, 70 miles north of Detroit, in the early hours of Dec. 27. The Wayne State University student was visiting with high school pals at the bar.
