Lansing Man, 76 Injured During Home Invasion

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – A 76-year old Lansing man is re-thinking his decision to open the front door.

He heard a knock around 1 a.m. Wednesday and went to see who it was.

When he checked to see who was on his porch in the 300 block of East Hillsdale, two men forced their way into his home.

Both men had their faces covered and injured the 76-year-old man in the process.

Lansing Police Department Officer Robert Merritt says the two men stole multiple guns form the man and took off.

Officers did attempt to track them with a K-9. However, police believe the suspects got into a car.

The investigation continues at this time. Police say they’re looking into whether or not the victim and the suspects knew each other.
