The Jackson City Council is having an open meeting.

It’s an opportunity for residents to understand the responsibilities of the city council.

Topics will range from the city’s budget and how the city is trying to cut costs as well as ways the city is trying to improve.

That includes services, such as re-instating leaf pickup which has been gone for some time now.

“A couple of other things we’re gonna go over are what we can do in the 2015/2016 budget and we are also going to go over some of the things at are happening downtown. With the Hast development, Michigan Avenue project, and with the two eight new lake Washington,” said Derek Dobies, vice mayor, city of Jackson.
