(WLNS) – Another resignation rocks the Howell city government. The man filling in after the mayor resigned has himself resigned.
According to our media partners at WHMI, mayor Pro-Tem Al Schlittler stepped down in a surprise move Monday night. The city council appointed Councilman Nick Procter as mayor and he was sworn in immediately.
Now both his council seat and Schlittler’s are open. The Council has 30 days to fill those vacant seats. Voters will elect three council members in November.
