UPDATE: Ingham County Sheriff Gene Wriggelsworth tells 6 News that the driver of the car is identified as 18-year-old Taylor Wood of Holt. She was traveling south on Grovenburg Road just north of Holt Road at 7:30 a.m. when her Jeep left the roadway and hit a tree. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. It is not known if she was wearing a seatbelt.

UPDATE 9:30 a.m. – Grovenburg Road is now open to regular traffic.
UPDATE 8:35 a.m. – A sergeant from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office tells 6 News that the driver is believed to be a 17-year-old female and is a student at Holt High School. She has been taken to a local hospital where she reportedly is in critical condition. 6 News is told that she was driving a Jeep that left the road and hit a tree on Grovenburg Road. The road remains closed during the investigation. 6 News has crews at the crash site and will have updates online and on 6 News.
(WLNS) – Rescue crews are on the scene of a car accident near the intersection of Holt Road and Grovenburg Road in Delhi Township. At least one person is reportedly injured when a car left the road and ran into a tree just before 7:30 this morning. Grovenburg Road is closed until further notice. 6 News has crews on the way and will have updates online and over the air on 6 News.
