MSU Student Robbed, Attacked With Baseball Bat

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Michigan State University Police are investigating after a student was hit with a baseball bat and robbed early Friday morning.

It happened around 2:50 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Spartan Village, near Crescent Road.

An 18-year-old MSU student told police she received a phone call, which directed her leave her apartment and go outside.

Once outside, the student says several suspects assaulted her, punching, kicking and hitting her multiple times with a baseball bat. The victim tried to go back to her apartment during the assault.

The student says the suspects also damaged her car.

Police say friends took the victim to Sparrow Hospital about two hours later. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Sparrow Hospital also contacted police.

The victim described the suspects as college-aged black women. Police do not believe the suspects have any affiliation with MSU.
