This Morning: “Princess Lacey” Day-Long Fundraiser Today

(WLNS) – Last year a little 8-year-old girl from mid-Michigan caught the attention of people across the country.

And she made an even bigger impact here, especially with the MSU men’s basketball team.

The girl was little Lacy Holsworth, who many people called “Princess Lacey.”

She lost her battle with cancer last year. But there’s a foundation keeping her memory alive and you can contribute today.

All day today the Holsworths and the staff at the East Lansing Buffalo Wild Wings invite you out for a fun filled day celebrating the life of Lacey Holsworth. By doing so you’ll also be supporting the lives of countless other kids.

Today “Bdubs” will donate 20-percent of all net sales to the “Princess Lacey’s Legacy Foundation“. This year is the second year for the fundraising event. If you come to today’s event you’ll find lots of fun things to do, including:
– facepainting
– a photo booth
– arts and crafts
– a magician
– lots of chicken wings

There are plenty of activities planned for the whole family.

The Legacy Foundation helps children battling cancer explore alternative forms of therapy. Some of those other choices include piano lessons, dance, horseback riding and just about anything to put a smile on their faces.

The fundraiser at the East Lansing Buffalo Wild Wings runs from 11 this morning until closing time.

We welcome thoughts and comments from our viewers. We ask that everyone keep their remarks civil and respectful. Postings that contain profanity, racist, or potentially libelous remarks will be deleted. We will delete any commercial postings, as well.
