Princess Lacey Remembered At Fundraiser

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Lacey Holsworth was a little girl who captured the hearts of MSU’s men’s basketball team as she battled cancer.

Princess Lacey, as she was called, passed away last year. Her family is honoring her memory through the Princess Lacey’s Legacy Foundation.

On Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings in East Lansing. 20 percent of proceeds will go towards the charity, which helps kids with cancer find alternative forms of therapy like piano lessons or horseback riding.

“I think she would be happy. We’re trying. Obviously she did things to another level that we try to aspire for, but we just can’t always get there. So we’re doing our best to make her proud,” said Matt Holsworth, Lacey’s father.

The fundraiser runs until closing time, which is 2 a.m.
