LANSING, MI (WLNS) – After numerous debates, the Lansing City Council also approved the sale of the Red Cedar Golf Course.

The $276 million plan will turn the former golf course into the home of five restaurants, a hotel and apartments.

However council member Carol Wood says the sale is just the beginning of the project.

Work on the Montgomery Drain to clean up the Red Cedar River must be finished before the project moves forward.

It could take several months before any construction starts.
