JACKSON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – Law enforcement officials in Jackson County hope moving forward there can be a better relationship with the African American community. That is after taking part in an open forum Thursday.
Michigan State Police were there as well as the sheriff’s department and city officials.
They fielded questions from participants and had only 60 seconds to answer.
Those who went say the forum was a step in the right direction. The forum was put on by Jackson College as part of Black History month. Officials hope to organize another one in the near future.
