General Motors Accounts For Ten Percent Of Recalls In 2014

(WLNS) – For those who drive a car, truck, or SUV, it is important to make sure everything is in working order. That means staying on top of potential recalls.

A record number of vehicles were ordered to the repair shop in 2014. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there were more than 800 recalls affecting 64 million vehicles.

That is twice as much as the previous high set ten years ago.

Officials say a greater focus on cars led to more recalls.

General Motors accounted for about ten percent of the recalls.
