(WLNS) – Off-price retailer T.J. Maxx is set to open a store in the Frandor Shopping Center. The Massachusetts-based chain is expected to open the doors on the 22,500 square foot department store this fall.
Construction on T.J. Maxx is now underway. To be situated between Petco and Michaels, a new building will be constructed on the footprint of space formerly occupied by the Gift & Bible store as well as the unoccupied suites to the immediate north and south.
T.J. Maxx is known for offering merchandise lines at prices lower than competing department and specialty stores. The company is the largest off-price retailer, with more than 1,000 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
“We have been working hard for many years to attract a fashion-forward retailer that meets the needs of Frandor’s savvy shoppers, and I’m pleased to now have the opportunity to announce that we’re adding one of the best in the country to our lineup,” said Christopher Brochert, partner at Lormax Stern, the company that worked with Frandor management firm Corr Commercial Real Estate to sign T.J. Maxx.
Frandor currently is 95% occupied with more than 60 shops and restaurants in the 450,000-square-foot open-air shopping center.
