JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – Children in Jackson got a good workout Monday and helped a great cause in the process.
Monday was Paragon Charter Academy’s annual Jump Rope for Heart event where students raise money for the American Heart Association by jumping rope and getting sponsors. Paragon Charter Academy is a K-8 public charter school.
“I raised about a $182, but I’m not in first anymore, I liked raising money, it’s really fun and I liked getting the prizes,” said Emilio Arze-Novak, participant.
All of the money raised goes to help patients and families affected by heart problems. Paragon students have raised more than $3,000 and they’re not done yet.
They still have until the end of the week to raise money.
