The Women’s Expo wrapped up Sunday at the Lansing Center.
Through-out the three-day event thousands of people tasted sweets– tried on clothes– and check out the latest medical equipment– among many other things….as our Christa Lamendola found out the crowds gave a boost to the local economy.
It’s a woman’s paradise—-
“I’m a hat person so I got this cute little hat to wear.”
Sunday was day three of the Women’s Expo—- with 275 booths full of everything and anything a girl could want.
“I just had a great time a lot of fun lots to look at things to buy– health– very interested in that,” said Deanne Ray.
Booths with hair stylists— messages, jewelry and even medical equipment drew in crowds from Lansing and out-of-town.
“We’ve had close to ten thousand people come in for the three days,” said President of Kohler Expos Denise Kolesar.
And while the expo offers a special taste of different products to customers.. It also boosts the economy.
“Businesses here are local businesses so they’re able to present their products on a face to face marketing term– so yeah it’s awesome for the economy here,” said
“It just lets people know we’re out there you know that we’re ready to service you whenever and we’re giving out brochures, special rates we’re just really excited about people come in,” said Remidi Spa and Wellness’ Jamie Mee.
And with this year’s Expo now in the books— local businesses are hoping the event has a lasting impact– that will continue to boost the economy through the year.
