Michigan Action Plan Revealed At Capitol

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – What is most important to people living in Michigan? Republican House leaders plan to answer that question today.

Lawmakers will hold a news conference this afternoon where they will unveil a new action plan for the state. This is not the first time House Republicans have teamed up to blue print a direction for the legislative session.

Back in 2013 Republican leaders released an action plan that say it acts as a road-map toward responsible leadership. Lawmakers unveiled legislative goals and objectives for the session while also looking back at policies and ideas that worked in the past and ways to keep growing and implementing them presently.Highlights of the 2013-2014 action plan include ideas to grow the Michigan job market, improving public transit and fixing Michigan roads and bridges.

Michigan roads and bridges could come up again this year in 2015. Republican House leaders will release this year’s action plan today beginning at 1 p.m. in the Speakers Library at the Capitol.
