House Votes To Repeal Affordable Care Act

(WLNS) – Ever since President Obama introduced his affordable health care plan, it has seen its share of attempted repeals by Republicans in the House and Senate. Now that Republicans control the House they are taking another crack at it.

On Tuesday the House voted and approved a bill to repeal the president’s health care law. The legislation also includes a motion asking a House committee to work on an alternative plan in case the Supreme Court rules part of the law unconstitutional.

It now heads to the Senate but likely will not pass. Even if it did and moved to the president he will likely veto the measure.
