At Least 15 Dead After Plane Crashes Into Taiwan River

TAIWAN (WLNS) – Reports out of Taiwan say 15 people are dead after a commercial plane crashed into a river shortly after takeoff.

Officials say the plane did not get high enough and clipped a bridge.

There were 53 passengers on board.

Several people needed to be rescued after the crash.

Officials have not said if it was passengers or flight crew that were killed.
