Lansing City Council To Hold Special Meeting On BWL

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – It is a transition period for the Lansing Board of Water and Light.

First commissioners fired General Manager Peter Lark and now a recent report says Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero is interested in having the new GM report directly to him. That is why members of the Lansing City Council are holding a meeting today focused solely on BWL.

They will sit down and discuss everything from the Board of Commissioners, to future leadership in the company, to the board itself. 6 News spoke to Interim General Manager Dick Peffley who says despite the changes the utility company is still in good shape.

The meeting is set to start at 11:30 this morning We will bring you updates on what is discussed on air and online so keep it here on 6 News for continuing coverage on the changes to the BWL.
