U.S. Military Launches Unmanned Rocket Into Space

CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA (WLNS) – A new Navy satellite is in orbit this morning.

The U.S. Military launched an unmanned rocket into space Tuesday night.

The 15,000 pound satellite in the rocket is the third of five satellites that is expected to improve ground communications for U.S. Military forces. A fourth launch is planned for this summer.

The operation is expected to be completed in two years.
