DETROIT, MI (WLNS) – The Detroit Windsor tunnel is back open this morning after officials were forced to close it for about three hours Tuesday night.
According to police two men were pulled over for trying to bring brass knuckles from the U.S. into Canada which is illegal. But officials also found a suspicious package in the car.
A bomb disposal unit examined it and found no security threat. The underground tunnel links Detroit with Windsor. It is the second busiest link between Canada and the U.S.
Police are keeping the men in custody while they continue their investigation.
