Crime Stoppers: 1 Attempt To ID, 1 Wanted For Felony

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Crime Stoppers of mid-Michigan is asking for the public’s help to identify one person and find one person wanted for a felony.

Attempt to identify – The man in the picture is wanted for questioning in reference to a larceny from an automobile that occurred in a parking lot at Michigan State University. Credit cards that were stolen from the car were fraudulently used as a drug store located in the 3400 block of E. Saginaw St. If you have any information, call the detective at 517-432-1596.

On December 25, 2014 officers were called to an armed robbery complaint that occurred in the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The victim told officers around 2 a.m. he was making deliveries to the area. While the victim was in a car parked in front of a residential apartment building, he told officials an unknown man approached him.

The victim rolled down the window and the suspect pointed a gun at the victim. The suspect demanded all the cash the driver had. After robbing the victim of the cash, the suspect ran off. The accused is described as a black man, 5’8″, about 120 pounds, early 20’s, black dreads, black goatee about 2 inches in length, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Felony –

Jason Edward Ells has a felony warrant for assault out of Lansing. Ells is a white man, 30, 5’9” and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
