KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – Lawmakers in Michigan are discussing the idea of making I-94 wider following that massive pileup in Kalamazoo County earlier this month.

They say the highway should be six lanes with three going in each direction.

Michigan State Police are still working on the crash investigation but did say the pileup had nothing to do with the highway.

193 cars, trucks and semi’s were involved in the chain reaction crash that stopped both directions of traffic for a couple days.

One person died in the crash.
