UPDATE: Two Hurt In Overnight Shooting In Lansing

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Two people are in the hospital this morning after Lansing police say they were shot at a gas station.

Officials were called to the station on the 800 block of South Martin Luther King right by I-496 shortly before 3 this morning.

When they arrived two people, a man and a woman had gunshot wounds. Officers say they saw a large amount of people and cars leaving the business. During their investigation they determined that there had be a fight inside the business and a man pulled out a handgun. Officers say the suspect began shooting, hitting the victims.

Right now police say the man is in critical condition the woman in serious condition.

Police also say they do not have anyone in custody but are still talking to witnesses. They are looking for a suspect described as a light-skinned black male, 5″10″ wearing a red hooded jacket and blue jeans. Officers also say this is not a random shooting and is a result of the fight.
