Police: Michigan Family Bound With Duct Tape During Robbery

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (AP) – West Bloomfield police are searching for two armed suspects who they say robbed and bound a family with duct tape during a home invasion.

Detective Lt. Curt Lawson says the men entered the West Bloomfield home early Wednesday morning while the family was sleeping. He says the suspects restrained the married couple, two of their three young children and their live-in nanny.

Lawson says the men then stole several items, including a 70-inch flat-screen TV, iPads and a Mac computer before taking off in the family’s minivan.

No one was injured but the detective says the incident was traumatic for the children.

Lawson says the department has diverted resources to focus on investigating the robbery.
