Which Streets To Avoid During Inaugural Day

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Lansing Police have announced which streets will be closed due to the Inaugural Ceremony of Governor Rick Snyder on New Year’s Day.

On Thursday, the streets around the Capitol will be closed during the ceremony. Starting around 7:30 p.m. Capitol Ave. between Ottawa St. and Allegan St. will be closed. All other streets around the Capitol may be closed if needed. All streets around the Capitol will be closed by 10:30 a.m. for the 11 a.m. ceremony.

Streets will re-open after 1 p.m.
