Arson Trial Date Set For Jackson Teen

(WLNS) – A Jackson County teen accused of starting a fire at his girl friend’s home with people inside will be headed to trial in February.
18-year-old Damion Hopkins faces two felony arson charges when his trial starts February 23.
That’s according to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot.
Prosecutors say Hopkins and his now 15-year-old girlfriend started the fire at her home on Dancer Road in Hanover Township in November. That fire sent her father to the hospital.
The girl is also facing charges of first degree arson as an adult. She still needs to be examined to determine if she’s fit to stand trial.
