Constitutional Convention Bill Vetoed

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Governor Snyder shot down a bill that would have let lawmakers pick delegates to send to a constitutional convention, if one was ever held.

The convention is a step that’s part of the process to amend the United States constitution.

It’s a move that’s never been used and requires at least 34 states to be on board.

Governor Snyder says that if a delegation ever had to be made voters should have a voice in who’s chosen.
