President Obama Addresses Afghan’s War End On Christmas Visit

HAWAII, (WLNS) – President Barack Obama also made it a busy Christmas day but he was not at home at the White House.

He marked the end of more than a decade of fighting in Afghanistan by paying tribute to our men and women in uniform. The president and his wife visited Marine Corps troops at a base in Hawaii. It is an annual tradition.

The president told troops while tough challenges remain for the U.S., the world as a whole is better off because American troops put country first and served with distinction adding Americans and their president could not be more thankful.
