(WLNS) – More and more people are digging their roots in the state of Michigan.
For years the state’s population has been on a downward slide but analysts say that is changing.
According to a new U.S. Census report, Michigan has added point-one percent to its population in December. While that is a relatively small increase it marks our third straight month of growth.
Right now we are up to just over 9.9 million people in Michigan meaning Michigan is the 10th most populous state. The state dropped one spot in the ranks this year because more people are leaving.
Experts say the increase comes from more births in Michigan.
