Police Searching For Suspect In Monday Night Shooting

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Police have been busy this morning on the lookout for a suspect they say shot a man late last night.

According to police, the shooting happened around 11 p.m. on the 1200 block of Linwood Street right at the intersection of Linwood and Glenn Street. Investigators tell 6 News that the victim and at least one other man driving a dark-colored SUV were arguing prior to the shooting.

Police say an unknown suspect shot a 36 year-old man in the head before leaving the scene in the SUV. The victim was conscious when medics arrived and was taken to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A description of the suspect or more details about the vehicle have not been released but police believe the shooting was not random.

It remains under investigation. Anyone having information that may assist in this investigation is encouraged to contact Det. Vicki Dahlke at (517)483-6856 or call the Lansing Police Department @ 517-483-4600 or CRIME STOPPERS @ 517-483-7867.
