LANSING, MI (WLNS) – On Monday GM announced the new Cadillac CTS-V, which will be built in Lansing at the Grand River Assembly Plant.

General Motors says the CTS-V is the most powerful product in Cadillac’s 112-year history. The 2016 CTS-V is expected to be available in summer 2015.

It has 640 horsepower (477 kW), 630 lb-ft of torque (855 Nm) and a top speed of 200 mph.

The 2016 CTS-V can go from 0-60 in just 3.7 seconds.

A Performance Data Recorder inside the car allows drivers to record HD video of their driving experience, which can be shared on social media.

Cadillac’s president, Johan de Nysschen says, “the new CTS-V is the most compelling example of Cadillac’s product substance and brand trajectory. The new CTS-V soars into the stratosphere of the most exhilarating luxury cars.”
