Canadian Shot By Border Agents At Ambassador Bridge

DETROIT, MI (WLNS) – An early morning shooting at the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit left one Canadian man wounded.

U.S. authorities say border agents shot an armed Canadian man around 3 a.m. Sunday morning at a border inspection booth on the Ambassador Bridge.

According to officials the man stopped his car before approaching the inspection station and got out of the car holding a handgun.

Border patrol officers ordered the man to drop the gun and shot him after he refused.

The suspect was treated at a local hospital and is being held in jail.
