LANSING, MI (WLNS) – It’s a story we look forward to bringing you every holiday season, Judge Economy’s annual Christmas adoptions.
Judge Economy spent Monday morning joining children with their new families at the Veteran’s Memorial Courthouse in Lansing.
Court officials say it’s their favorite day of the year.
“It just warms my heart,” said Judge George Economy, Ingham County Circuit Court.
“I look out and see the moms and dads, who finally know that today, saying that this is our child now, this child is ours legally and no one is going to take them away from us. It is special and you appreciate what they had to persevere to get to this very magical day.”
Judge Economy says he will preside over 20 adoptions Monday and Tuesday.
