SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – It is shaping up to be a tough day in Shiawassee County.
Sheriff Deputies there will soon be out of a job.
The boards of commissioners are meeting tonight to discuss their budget.
The county has to cut nearly one and a half million dollars after voters shot down a millage on the November ballot that would have funded public safety.
As a result the sheriff’s department will be cut nearly in half.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 4 with a final budget vote possible.
